Swimming is a vital part of the Australian lifestyle. It is a skill that provides endless amounts of enjoyment, increases your fitness levels and of course provides you with the essential skills to ensure your safety in the water.

At Scarborough Beach Pool our swimming instructors are fully qualified, exceptionally trained and ready to pass on their skills to you or your children.

Our full Learn to Swim Program will return in September 2018.
October Holidays & Term 4 programs available for students 3 years and above

Term 1 and 2, 2019 (No lessons in term 3)
Re-enrolments will commence in week 9 and 10 of the previous term. Please re-enrol during these two weeks if you wish to secure the same time, day and level for the next term.
New enrolments (Term 1 and 2)
New enrolments commence the first week of all school holidays.
School holiday programs (No lessons in July holidays)
Enrolments for school holiday programs will open in week 5 of the previous term.

Private Lessons:
We do not offer Private Lessons at Scarborough Beach Pool due to the limited pool space available.
With our growing membership base, Learn to Swim group lessons and our resident swim club, pool space is extremely limited, therefore we cannot offer Private Lessons.

Program information
Preschool Age – 3 - 6 years
Go from water familiarisation through to developing basic freestyle and backstroke skills, with an introduction to breaststroke kick. 
School age Age 6- 15 years
RLSS Swim and Survive levels Level 1 to 7
Beginners learn to go under water and float all the way through to developing freestyle, backstroke, survival backstroke and breaststroke. 
Squads RLSS Level 8 & 9 
Introduce Sidestroke and Butterfly and develop other strokes further; swim up to 300m
MARLINS Prerequisite: passed RLSS Level 9
A squad style class to improve, endurance, fitness, technique and achieve timing goals.
Swim and Survive RLSS Level 10 - 12
RLSS Level 13 - 14
Learn personal aquatic safety and how to respond to emergencies. 
Junior Lifeguard Club Prerequisite: passed RLSS Level 12
Survival Skills, Rescues, Safety Drills and Community Awareness, Students have the ability to pass Level 13 to 15 and to refresh their skills and knowledge. Prepare to go onto achieve the Bronze Medallion and move into lifeguarding
Adults Age - 16 years and older.
If you have never swum before you can take the first step in term 4 as we head into summer! Would you like to learn a new stroke or improve your current technique; this can all be done in our comprehensive 4 level program for Adults.
Pool to Beach Transition Program RLSSS Level 9 + Learn the difference between pool swimming and beach swimming. Also learn about beach and surf safety and awareness.
4:00PM Tuesday, Thursday and 8:30AM Satruday in Term 1, 2019.
8:30AM during the January Holidays, Week 1, 2 and 3.
(All lessons 60minutes duration)
