With its brilliant turquoise water, clean white sand, great surf, easy shopping and incredible eateries and bars, there’s really no reason not to visit Scarborough.
The beach offers uninterrupted views of the entire Perth coast, from Fremantle in the south, up to Hillary’s in the north. Along with multiple playgrounds and spacious grassed areas, all in close proximity, your only task will be deciding where to go first!
A quick 15 minute drive from Perth City (with an easy and direct bus route also available) Scarborough is well worth the trip to the coast. And you’re really not experiencing all Perth has to offer if you don’t visit one of it’s most iconic and well known beaches. A major tourist attraction, Scarborough Beach is considered a hallmark of WA’s famous beach culture.
Local and state bodies joined together to undertake a major redevelopment of the entire Scarborough Beach, giving this stunnung beachfront a $100 million transformation. The revolutionary redevelopment is set to change the face of Scarborough creating a diverse and vibrant offering for locals and visitors alike. Set to fully reopen in March 2018, there will be lots for the whole family to enjoy.

Swim, Surf and Skate
Scarborough is arguably Perth’s most popular beach where you can surf, paddle-board and kite-surf. If you are new to the ocean you can join a local surf-school to help get your swimming career started. Or, just relax by the new iconic Scarborough Beach Pool. The ‘new’ Scarborough foreshore set to open in March 2018, also offers a skate-bowl unlike any other where you can watch the experts at work.
The precinct offers a range of new retail outlets to complement the endless supply of long-standing favourite surf-shops. The area is well-serviced so you can stock up on supplies for your stay. Pop up markets will also make an appearance over the busy summer period on Thursday nights where you grab a bite and a unique gift or a treat for yourself.
Relax and take in the spectacular panoramic ocean views from Sunset Hill with friends and family. You can refresh yourself at one of the local Yoga, Pilates or Meditation classes and of course go for a swim in our heated, saltwater pool. What to do
If you’re after action, the new ‘Snake Pit’ is where it’s all happening. This multi-use area caters for a range of events, exhibitions, ball sports and wheeled sports including skateboarding, scooter and BMX, all year around. The area features an international-level competition skate bowl, two skate parks, half basketball court and climbing wall. (Set to open March 2018).
